2008 WILD CARD WEEK NFL

Dolphin Sports went 0-2 wild card weekend with Indianapolis as a 4* Top Play loss and Minnesota as a 3* Regular Play for a loss. Darren Sproles was a machine for San Diego as he racked up 328 TTL YDS on the day, 3rd most all purpose yards ever in a playoff game. Sproles posted 105 YDS rushing, 45 YDS receiving, 106 YDS on kick returns and 72 punt return YDS. Sproles helped the Chargers control the ball as San Diego had over a 7 minute TOP advantage even though they had 2 TO compared to Indy who didn`t turn the ball over at all in the game. San Diego has now covered 3 straight. Dolphin Sports other loss on the day came on Minnesota who has now finished the season dropping their last 3 ATS as they lost at home against Philadelphia. The Eagle D held Minnesota scoreless in the 2H as they held Minnesota workhorse Adrian Peterson to under 100 rushing yards on the day (83 YDS on 20 carries and 2 TD). Philadelphia will go on the road again next week, this time to play a New York Giants team that has lost 3 of their L4 SU and 2 of their L4 ATS. Big Swiss went 1-1 on the week as he had Baltimore at Miami as a 4* cover and also had the Colts as a 3* loss on the day. Baltimore has now won, and covered 10 of their L12 on the SSN as they walked all over the Dolphins winning 27-9. The Ravens put pressure on Pennington all day as he was intercepted 4 times on the day and Miami was held to 52 YDS on the ground. Ed Reed once again appeared to grab everything thrown his way as he intercepted Pennington twice and returned one for a TD. Baltimore snatched 5 TO on the day and will be tough to beat in the coming weeks if they continue to grab TO like they did Sunday. The Duke went 1-3 on the week as he had a 3* play out on Minnesota (loss), 3* play out on Miami (loss), and a 4* top play on Indianapolis for a loss. His win on the week came as a 3* regular play on Arizona as they hosted Atlanta in the Cardinals first home playoff game since 1947 when they were the Chicago Cardinals playing in Chicago. Matt Ryan was intercepted twice in the game (Atlanta had 3 TO total), and threw 2 TD in his first ever playoff game. Atlanta was held to 60 YDS rushing on the day while Arizona posted 86 on the ground lead by Edgerrin James who rushed for 73 YDS on 16 carries for a 4.5 YD/rush average. Arizona will play at either the New York Giants or Carolina Panthers next week. The Cardinals will try to turn things around as they have played and lost to both teams this season already.

2008 WEEK 17 NFL

Our VIP Service handicappers went 3-2 overall week 17 in the NFL. Dolphin Sports went 1-0 as he had a 3* out on New England as they went into a windy Buffalo and shutout the Bills to improve to 5-0 L5 ATS in Buffalo. With wind gusts approaching 60mph its no surprise both teams combined for only 188 YDS through the air. After jumping out to a 5-1 SU start to the SSN it didn`t end how the Bills wanted it to as they ended the season 2-8 of L10 SU, 3-7 of L10 ATS, and were shut out at home for the 1st time since 10-23-83. Big Swiss went 1-1 winning with the Ravens as his 4* play on the week as they continue to cover (12-4 this SSN ATS). Quick Note: Baltimore 3rd in NFL with +13 Take-Aways behind Tennessee +14, and Miami +17. Big Swiss` only loss on the day came on another DDF Atlanta. The Falcons got the win but failed to cover after allowing the Rams over 400 YDS TTL O. The Duke also went 1-1 on the week as he hit with San Fran who ended the SSN 6-2 ATS since their bye week (6-3 ATS since Singletary took control). His loss came as he had the Jets in their home finale as they disappointed more than 1 person as they lost to Miami. The Jets finished 0-5 L5 ATS. Although the Jets may have disappointed more than 1 person, there`s 1 person they didn`t surprise...Dolphin Sports. dolphin Sports called this Jets loss in his pre-season write-up. 2008 WEEK 16 NFL

The Duke went 1-2 week 16 in the NFL as he had 3* plays out on New England (win) and Denver (loss). NE rolled the Cardinals 47-7 as it snowed throughout the day in Foxboro, something the Arizona Cardinals don`t see much of in Phoenix, something Warner didn`t see much of in St. Louis (Edward Jones Dome). Whether it was the weather, or the fact that Arizona already claimed a spot in the playoffs, it appeared they didn`t come to play. Arizona struggled with almost as many TO (2) as they had FD (8) all day. Denver`s struggles continue as they lost outright at home to the Bills as Buffalo got their 1st win in Denver since a 17-16 win in 1967 at Bears Stadium. The Duke lost his 4* play on the week with Dallas as they lost their final game at Texas Stadium! It was the first time the Ravens have ever played at Texas Stadium and they left "America`s Team", Jerry Jones, and The Duke with something to remember them by....an embarrassing loss. The week was as rough for Big Swiss and Dolphin Sports as it was for Dallas. Big Swiss went 0-3 on the week as he had a 5* GOW play out on Philadelphia for a loss. Big Swiss, "Let me get this right. The Eagles went into Landover after covering 3 in a row and putting up a 32 PT average during the same span. They were playing a team that have now scored 13 PTS or less in 6 of L7 games, and forget about the cover....they couldn`t even win outright?! Enough said.". Big Swiss also lost a 4* on Carolina as the Giants won the top seed in the NFC as they rushed for their most YDS in a game since 1959 with 301 YDS on the ground. The Giants scored 8 PTS in the last 4 minutes and a TD in OT for the back door cover giving Swiss the loss. Big Swiss` final loss on the day came with the Texans in their first ever loss to the Raiders. Dolphin Sports went 0-2 on the week as he lost regular plays on Carolina and Philadelphia.

2008 WEEK 15 NFL

The Duke went 2-1 week 15 in the NFL hitting Kansas City as they covered against San Diego at home. Kansas City appeared to have the outright W as they had a 21-3 lead in the 3Q, but San Diego scored 19 unanswered PTS to walk away with the SU W but failed to cover as the Chiefs have now covered their L3. The Duke also won with a 3* play on Pittsburgh as they went into Baltimore as UD and walked away with a 4 PT SU W handing the Ravens their 1st ATS H L this SSN, making Baltimore 5-1-1 ATS @ H this SSN. His only loss on the week came as a 3* play on the Falcons as it was revenge for Matt Ryan as Tampa handed Ryan his first L of his Pro career in week 2 of the SSN. The Tampa D once again proved troublesome for Ryan as he had to take it to OT just to get the SU W but failed to cover. The at H ATS L gives Atlanta a 5-2 ATS mark @ H up to this point in the SSN. Dolphin Sports went 1-2 on the week losing his 5* NFL GOY on the Indianapolis Colts as they moved the ball well against the winless Detroit Lions with 421 YDS TTL O but failed to cover. He also had Tennessee as a 3* loss as the Titans went into Houston and were beaten 13-12 as they were held to 281 YDS TTL O on the day, lost the ball control battle by nearly 13 minutes and gave up 2 TO in their 1st road L of the SSN. His 3* win on the day came with a rejuvenated San Francisco squad that is now 5-2 ATS since Mike Singletary has taken over after week 7 of the SSN. Big Swiss was 1-3 on the week as he lost his 5* NFL GOY on the Giants as they struggled on both sides of the ball. As Dallas racked up 321 YDS TTL O and 0 TO on the day, the Giants were held to 218 YDS and gave the ball up twice. The Giants have now lost 2 straight SU and ATS, both against division opponents, and both since losing WR Plaxico Burress due to lack of, "firearm safety training". Big Swiss has now hit his L3 Top Plays as he hit his Top Play on the Panthers this week. The Panthers made a feast of the Broncos as they won 30-10 in their regular SSN home finale ending the SSN @ a perfect 8-0 SU and 5-2-1 ATS record in Charlotte. Big Swiss had 2 regular plays for losses on the week as he also rode Atlanta and Arizona.

2008 WEEK 14 NFL

Football Services VIP Service went 3-0 on their Top Plays week 14 in the NFL. The Duke went 3-1 week 14 in the NFL as the Saints lead the way with a Top Play win. He also had the Colts (held Cincy to 3 PTS all day, Cincinnati is now 0-7 SU and 2-5 ATS on the road this SSN), and Tennessee both as DDF as regular play covers on the week. The Duke`s only loss on the week came as a 3* on Green Bay at home as they have now dropped 3 in a row ATS. Big Swiss was also 3-1 on the week as he also hit his 4* of the week with the Colts. Big Swiss also had a 3* win on the week with Baltimore as they held the Redskins to only 62 YDS on the ground all game. Washington is now on an 0-4-1 ATS slide. His other 3* W on the day was with Tennessee who continues to cover landing them at 10-2-1 ATS to this point in the SSN. Despite Tennessee turning the ball over 3 times in the game, they won the ball control game by holding Cleveland to ony 35 YDS rushing and 143 YDS passing on the day. Big Swiss` only loss on the day came as he had a 3* out on the Over/Giants in a game that seen Eli Manning throw for a season-low 123 YDS. Dolphin Sports went 2-1 on the week as he also hit his Top Play on the week with Tennessee. Dolphin Sports also had a 3* on Arizona for a win and 3* on New England as his only loss on the day as NE got the SU W but failed to cover as injuries continue to plague the Patriots. Vince Wilfork and James Sanders both left the game early with injuries as Seattle got their 2nd cover at home this SSN.

2008 WEEK 13 NFL

Dolphin Sports went 2-2 week 13 in the NFL hitting with the Giants as a Top Play as the Giants have now covered their L7. New York held the Redskins to under 100 YDS rushing on the day (92 YDS), and Jason Campbell has now thrown 4 INT in the L4 games after going the 1st 8 games of the SSN without throwing any. The Redskins are 0-3-1 ATS during the L4 game span and 5-3 ATS during the first 8 games. Dolphin Sports also had the Over/Jets as a 3* W as the Broncos and Jets combined for 867 YDS of TTL O. Dolphin Sports had 2 losses on the day on regular plays with Seattle who has now dropped the L4 ATS to Dallas, and New England as Pittsburgh scored 30 unanswered PTS against the Patriots as the Steelers got the SU W at Foxboro for the 1st time since Week 16 of the 1997 SSN. Big Swiss went 2-2 on the week hitting his Top Play on the Giants. He also won a 3* on the Over/Jets on the week. His 2 losses on the week came with Arizona (3*) and the Jets (3*). The Cardinals ATS loss to Philadelphia now drops Arizona`s record to 2-7 L9 ATS to Phily. The Duke went 1-2 hitting a 3* play on the Over/New England. He had Green Bay as a 3* loss on the day as DeAngelo Williams had 4 rushing TD for Carolina to hold off the Packers 35-31. The Duke`s Top Play San Diego was held to only 201 TTL YDS of O on the day as Matt Ryan and the Falcons got it done once again making them 8-4 ATS on the SSN.

2008 WEEK 12 NFL

The Duke`s NFL 5 star Game Of The Month went week 12 in the NFL with Indianapolis as a dog in San Diego where they got the outright win. Adam Vinatieri hit a 51 YD FG as time expired to give the Colts and The Duke the W. The Duke also had 3 regular plays out on the day for losses. He rode Kansas City as HD as they were beaten up on by the Bills as the Bills snapped a 4 game ATS and SU losing streak in fashion by scoring more points than anyone has ever scored before against the Chiefs as Buffalo won 54-31. Kansas City had 5 TO in the game. His other 2 games were Carolina on the road at Atlanta as Atlanta covered against Carolina after losing the L4 ATS to the Panthers, and Green Bay on the road in New Orleans where the Saints tied a team record as they put 51 on the board to Green Bay`s 29. Dolphin Sports went 1-2 on the week losing his Top Play with Tennessee as the Titans failed to cover for only the 2nd time this SSN. His other loss on the day came as he took the Cleveland over in a game that was filled with turnovers and defense. His 3* W on the week came on New England as Matt Cassel marched into Miami and threw for 415 YDS and 3 TD in a 48-28 win. Big Swiss went 0-3 on the week as he had the Panthers for a 4*, and Arizona and Jacksonville for regular plays on the day.

2008 WEEK 11 NFL

Week 11 in the NFL seen The Duke go 3-0. His top play San Diego covered on a historic day in which the game landed at an 11-10 final. It was the 1st time in the history of the NFL a game has ended with the score of 11-10 and despite the historic day in Pittsburgh, San Diego failed to make the history they wanted as they lost SU for the 13th straight regular SSN game there. Although they are win-less in the regular SSN in PA they are 2-0 there in the playoffs. San Diego`s O struggled as Philip Rivers tied a SSN low 159 passing YDS & 2 INT on the day as the Chargers were also held to 66 on the ground. The Duke also had 2 regular plays with Dallas (Tony Romo 198 YDS, 1 TD, 2 INT in his 1st game after missing 3 due to broken pinkie. Washington QB Jason Campbell has now tossed 3 INT in his L58 attempts.), and Green Bay (Ryan Grant rushed for SSN high 145 YDS, 1 TD on the day as the Packers rushed for 200 TTL on the day and held Chicago to 9 FD). Dolphin Sports had 2 plays on the day and split hitting his top with Tennessee who continues to roll to the tune of 10-0 SU and 8-1-1 ATS this SSN! Who`d have thunk? Tennessee continues to find ways to win, in this game they were out rushed 140-114, lost the TOP battle, managed 13 FD compared to JAX 17, went 1-12 on 3 down CONV, and had more penalties! Could we see Tennessee in Tampa? Dolphin Sports loss on the day came as a 3* on Atlanta as they were handed their 1st HL on the SSN by an injury depleted Denver team who has now won & covered their L2 on the road and has won 4 straight against NFC opponents. Big Swiss went 1-3 on the week losing his Top Play on the Colts as Indy has now improved to 13-1 SU all time VS Houston as Indy racked up 474 TTL YDS on the day but failed to hold off the Titans enough to cover. Big Swiss lost a 3* on Carolina. Detroit is now 0-10 SU on the SSN as the Panthers got the W but failed to cover despite being handed 4 TO by the Lions offense. Carolina is now 6-0 SU @ H this SSN. The Big Swiss also lost his 5* GOM this week coming in with Philadelphia in a game that ended in the 1st tie in the NFL in 6 years. The Eagles had 391 of TTL O compared to 282 put up by a Cincinnati offense that continues to struggle. But it was 4 TO (3 INT by McNabb) that lead to the Eagles demise. Combine that with the fact that Phily failed to rush for 100 YDS on the day and the Bengals controlled the ball for 8 minutes longer and you had an upset in the making. Big Swiss, "Does this mean that Cincinnati is turning it around? I doubt it. All it means is for one game they found a way to not lose, they still didn`t put enough offense together to win." The Big Swiss` win on the day came with a team that continue`s to keep the "scoreboard gods" busy...Arizona. It was a Swiss 3* play and a W as Kurt Warner once again tossed the pigskin for over 300 YDS (4th straight game). Lets be honest people...it`s gonna be tough to beat a team that can go on the road and put up 458 YDS of TTL O, control the ball for almost 9 min. longer, put up 26 PTS (average 28), turn the ball over 3 times, and still come away with the "W". Even if it is against the 2-8 Hawks.

2008 WEEK 10 NFL

The Duke went 4-0 week 10 in the NFL as he had Tennessee who continues their winning streak even as they were held to 20 YDS rushing on the day by the Bears D. Kerry Collins picked up the slack as he threw for a SSN high 289 YDS with 2 TD in a 21-14 win Sunday as the Titans got the cover and The Duke got the W. The Duke also had Green Bay who even though they gave Adrian Peterson 192 YDS rushing and Minnesota controlled the ball for almost an entire quarter longer than GB, they were able to keep it close for a cover as they were helped out by 3 Minnesota TO. The Miami Dolphins had to come up with some trickery and big plays as they got 2 early TD as they jumped out to a 14-0 lead. They did give up a 35 YD TD INT to Babineaux but neither team had enough to send it over as The Duke won with his play on the under and Miami has now won 3 straight for the 1st time since winning 4 straight in 2006. He also had the NE/under for his 4th win and cover on the day as Buffalo was held to 58 YDS in the 2H. The Bills have now lost 4 of their L5. Dolphin Sports went 1-3 on the day with his only win coming on Tennessee. He lost on New Orleans where Drew Brees was 31-58, 422 YDS, 2 TD, and 3 INT as NO only ran the ball 17 times on the day. Atlanta`s Matt Ryan had 2 TD without any INT in the game and Ryan and the Falcons are now 4-0 SU at home this SSN. The Dolphin`s Top Play on the day was San Diego who lost at home to Kansas City last year and almost again this SSN. KC tried a 2 PT conversion with :23 left in the game as they went for the upset win instead of the tie, but failed to convert. Kansas City is still looking for their 1st win on the road this SSN. Dolphin Sports final loss on the week came on Monday Night with Arizona at home against San Francisco. The 49ers appeared to have got their 2nd wind under Coach Singletary, as they had a shot to win outright despite being 2 score dogs. SF held Arizona to 46 YDS rushing on the night and went into the locker room with a 21-13 lead but only managed to put 3 on the board in the 2H and gave up 3 TO in the game. Kurt Warner continues to play at a Super Bowl level going 32-42, 328 YDS, 3 TD (13,5,4 YDS) on the night. Big Swiss was also on Arizona for a loss (Top Play), and Buffalo (3*) as New England was too much for the Bills who were playing without Whitner & Schobel on defense. He did win with the Titans (Regular) going 1-2 on the week.

2008 WEEK 9 NFL

Dolphin Sports had a rough week 9 in the NFL going 0-2. His Top Play was the Bills as QB Trent Edwards was 24-35 with 289 yards passing but had 2 INT (1 was returned for a TD) and lost a fumble! His other loss was with Tennessee who was off a short week as they gave up 314 YDS passing to Aaron Rogers. Even though they sacked him 4 times and forced 2 takeaways, The Titans just couldn't pull off the cover for The Dolphin. It took them OT just for a SU W. Big Swiss went 2-0-1 on the week as he also had the Titans but got the line at -3 on game-day for a push. His Top Play was Arizona for an easy win. Who would have thought that the Cardinals would have a 3 game lead at the halfway point! Kurt Warner once again was in "Super Bowl form" as he was 23-34, 342 YDS passing, and 2 TD (56 & 7)! "The Greatest Show On Turf"....could this be, "The Greatest Show With Birds"? Big Swiss also won on the Giants (3*) as it appears the Cowboys are just not the same without Romo. The Giants also took advantage of the Dallas rushing defense with 200 YDS rushing. Dallas needs the bye to try to get back on track and is expecting Romo back for the Sunday night game against Washington on 11/16. The Duke was 1-2 on Sunday as his Top Play Cleveland allowed Baltimore 24 unanswered PTS in the final 17 minutes to get beaten at home. He also had Denver at home for a regular play where Shanahan and his crew got as many 1st downs as rushing YDS as they were held to 14 YDS on the ground and turned the ball over 3 times! Who would have thought you would see Miami winning on the road and be 4-4 at mid-season? The Dolphins kept Dan Carpenter busy as he had FG of 45,47,23,41 YDS on the day. The Duke`s lone W on the day was Minnesota as Adrian Peterson continues to run over defenses as he had 25 carries for 139 YDS on the day.

2008 WEEK 8 NFL

Week 8 in the NFL Dolphin Sports went 2-0, the 2nd time this SSN he`s had a perfect weekend (NFL & NCAA combined). His Top Play the Eagles finally got Westbrook back and he came back in a big way with 167 YDS rushing & 2TD's. McNabb threw for 253 YDS, and rushed for 25 & 1 TD. Matt Ryan passed for 277 YDS and 2 TDS (55, 8 YDS) with 2 INT. The Dolphin`s other win was with Carolina. Did you know ... 10 years ago Kurt Warner beat out Jake Delhomme for the starting position for the Amsterdam Admirals in NFL Europe. This Sunday, Warner had 381 YDS passing and a 10-3 lead, but then bad things started to happened. The Cardinals had a botched fake FG, a missed XP, and a lot of sloppy plays. The 2 TO and 50 YDS rushing didn`t help either as the Panthers got the cover and The Dolphin got the W. Big Swiss GOD was the Eagles as they got the 27-14 W and cover. He also had the Giants as a regular play (also our free pick of the day) for a win. The injury plagued Steelers also lost their long snapper in this game and the backup snapper sailed the ball over punter Mitch Berger's head into the EZ. Big Ben also struggled against the Giants D as he was intercepted 4 times and sacked 5 times. Eli Manning had the go ahead TD pass with 3:07 left in the game and held on as the Giants and Big Swiss got the cover. Big Swiss` lone loss on the day was with Buffalo, where Miami's Ted Ginn had a career high 7 catches for 175 YDS recieving. It was his 1st 100 YD game since being drafted 9th overall last year. The Dolphins overcame a 9 PT 3Q deficit to pull out a 25-16 win. Miami has improved a lot since last SSN, and coming from behind in this one show`s it. Big Swiss, "Something has changed in Miami, and I`m sure some of it has to do with Parcells looking over their shoulder. His, "perform or leave" attitude somehow seems to get the job done. I wonder what he could have accomplished had he went to Cincy...but he had enough of the cold in New York." The Duke also had the Eagles for a win (3*), but came in on the opposite side of the ball as Big Swiss had Pittsburgh for a loss. The Duke lost his Top Play San Diego in the shootout played across the pond @ Wembley Stadium in London England. Drew Brees got back on track going 30-41 for 339 YDS, 3 TD (12,30,1 YD). Rivers for was 25-40 341 YDS, 3 TDS (12,12,14 YDS), but had a late INT. LaDainian Tomlinson got his 2nd 100 YD game in 12 attempts as he had 170 all purpose YDS and 1 TD. The Duke also had Seattle (3*) for an easy UD outright win. San Fran held Seattle to only 39 YDS on the ground but gave a 75 YD TD INT, and 2 TD receptions by Lenard Weaver (43, 62 YDS) as San Francisco has now only covered the 2 games they won outright this SSN.

2008 WEEK 7 NFL

Week 7 in the NFL Dolphin Sports hit his top play with Tennessee, making him 5-1 (83%) in the NFL with top plays in 2008. Chris Johnson ran for 168 YDS, LenDale White went for 149 YDS, as the team rushed for 332 YDS in Tennessee`s 37-10 win. Dolphin Sports lost with Miami under & TB. TB's Jeff Garcia was 26-37 for 310 YDS, 1TD, but they missed 2FG's and gave up a TD with 1:55 left in the game as they failed to cover. Big Swiss lost his Top Play with Washington as Clinton Portis had a 175 YD game and Santana Moss had 2TD's, but the defense gave up a TD & 2 PT conversion with 2:44 left in the game, after giving up just 3 PTS all game prior as Washington got the SU W but failed to cover. Big Swiss also Lost on the Buffalo Over as San Diego failed to get much O going all game, but won with Buffalo. After giving up a 1Q TD to SD, Buffalo held San Diego to just 1 TD the rest of the game. Buffalo settled down and managed to put PTS on the board in every Q ending up with 2 TD and 3 FG. The Duke has now won his 3RD Top Play in a row, with the Giants. The Giants made fewer mistakes not turning the ball over all game to hold off San Francisco (3 TO). The Giants Michael Johnson had 2 INT and this Game cost coach Nolan his job. The Duke lost with the Dolphins, where ex-coach Cam Cameron came back to Miami and coached his offense to 4 scoring drives of 42, 67, 67, 68 YDS. Baltimore was the only win Cameron had last year with the Dolphins. The Saints were The Duke`s other loss as Reggie Bush went out with a knee injury and Jeremy Shockey may have re-injured his groin. Drew Brees was shut down & Carolina rolled 30-7 as the Panthers have now held opponents to single digits in their L3 wins (16 combined PTS). Football Services guest handicapper, Kid Ace had a play on the Jets in his only NFL selection of the week as Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 57 Yd FG in OT to give the Raiders their 2nd SU W of the SSN as JaMarcus Russell was 17-30 for 203 YDS and 1 TD. We would once again like to thank Kid Ace for allowing us his selections this week. Football Services has made the decision to maintain contact with Kid Ace, and we hope to be able to give his selections to our VIP Service in the future.

2008 WEEK 6 NFL

In week 6 in the NFL, Dolphin Sports (Top), and The Duke (Regular), both had Seattle for a loss on the day. Seattle greatly missed Hasselbeck (injured), as Seattle had just 64 passing YDS in the entire game. Dolphin Sports also lost on the Bears for the 2nd time this SSN. The Bears squibbed kicked with 11 seconds to go and rookie Matt Ryan completed a 24 YD pass to set up a 48 YD FG with time running out by Jason Elam. The Dolphin`s only win for the weekend was also the Bonus Trend for the week, the St.Louis Rams who were DDD coming off a bye with a new coach. Playing a Redskin team off a road win vs Philly, the Skins had 3 TO as the Rams took advantage and got the outright win 19-17 (1st of their SSN). The Duke had TB as his Top Play who won 27-3 getting the easy cover. Due to Griese`s injury, Garcia started at QB for the 1st time since week 1, and the Panthers were held to just 40 rushing YDS on the day (they had 205 LW against Kansas City). Jake Delhomme threw 3 INT's and the Panther Defense allowed it's 1st 100 YD rusher for the SSN. With that win TB,ATL,CAROLINA are now tied in the NFC South. The Duke also won with Jax with an outright win at Mile High after having 3 takeaways and a little help from the officials. His 3rd win was with SD over NE. This was a rematch of last years AFC Championship Game ... well, sorta... Tom Brady was sidelined, and Phillip Rivers was healthy as he threw for 3 TD passes (49,4,1 YDS). The Big Swiss won with ARZ (3*) over Dallas outright. Arizona was ahead 24-14 with 2 minutes to go in the game, but let Dallas back in it for a tie to send it to OT. The Cardinals blocked a punt and returned it for a TD giving them the 30-24 SU W. Big Swiss got handed a loss in Minnesota where Adrian Peterson lost 2 fumbles and Gus Frerotte threw an INT as the Vikings couldn't get any points vs a team (DET) who was giving up an average of over 36 PPG. Swiss's 2nd loss was with the NY Giants on Monday Night who gave up 454 YDS of TTL offense including a 94 YD TD to Eric Wright. Dereck Anderson was 18-29 for 310 YDS & 2 TD (22 & 11 YDS) on the night handing the Giants their 1st L of the season.

2008 WEEK 5 NFL

Dolphin Sports continued to roll week 5 in the NFL going a perfect 3-0. His top play, the New York Giants racked up 523 YDS of TTL O and held Seattle to just 187 on the day as they improved to 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS. The Giants leading receiver on the day was Domenik Hixon with 4 receptions for 102 YDS and 1 TD after Plaxico Burress was sidelined for the day for a 1 game suspension. Dolphin Sports also came in with 2 regular plays on the day that he hit with Carolina and Tennessee. The Panthers took a bite out of the Chiefs as they had over 440 YDS TTL O (205 on the ground & 236 through the air) as Carolina got their largest shutout in franchise history. Carolina is off to their best start (4-1) since reaching the Super Bowl in the 2003 SSN. Carolina held Kansas City to 127 TTL YDS on the day..yes..the same Kansas City team that put up 213 on the ground alone against Denver a week earlier. Tennessee scored a late TD with just under 2 minutes remaining (Alge Crumpler 11 Yd Pass From Kerry Collins with 1:56) to hold off another undefeated ATS team this season with Baltimore. Tennessee is off to their best start in franchise history and now has a bye with KC on deck. Tennessee hasn`t passed for over 200 YDS in a game this season (Kerry Collins 3TD-3INT on SSN).The Duke was 3-0-1 on the week with the Patriots as his top play as they traveled to San Francisco where The Pats got their first win ever at Candlestick. Belichick is slowly opening the O up for Cassell since Brady`s injury, with Cassell`s attempts increasing every week. The Patriots controlled the ball for 39:52 compared to the 49ers 20:08 as they held Gore to 12 carries on 54 YDS on the day as The Duke got the W. The Duke had 3 regular plays on the day as he also hit Carolina, and got a push on Indy. His 3rd W of the day came in Arizona where he once again rode the Cardinals (3rd time this SSN) for a win. Kurt Warner continues to put up TD as he now has 10 on the SSN, while Trent Edwards went out with a concussion early in the game. Big Swiss went 2-1 on the week hitting his top 4 star play with the Giants, and Tampa on the road in Denver. Griese was knocked out of the game in the 3Q as Garcia came in and threw for 1 TD, 1 INT, and 93 YDS in a SU loss in Denver but got the cover. It isn`t often Big Swiss comes in with Monday Night games, but he did for the 2nd week in a row and this time it was a top play. Swiss had New Orleans in the Superdome as HF against a Minnesota team that was 1-3 ATS. Turnovers definitely determine a game, and New Orleans had 4 TO in this game that Minnesota turned into 17 PTS. The 2 teams combined for 99 YDS on the ground as Drew Brees once again threw for over 300 YDS in a game (4th time this SSN). Longwell kicked a 30 YD FG with 13 seconds left to give Minnesota the W and Big Swiss the loss. Can New Orleans find the running game and learn to win on the road? New Orleans has not had a 100 YD rusher in a game this season, but if they can work out a few kinks, they could be deadly.

2008 WEEK 4 NFL

Dolphin Sports had 3 plays in the NFL week 4. The Dolphin came in with his top play of the day on Carolina @ home against Atlanta as Steve Smith was back for his 2nd GM this SSN. Carolina held Atlanta to 3 FG in the GM as Matt Ryan is still looking for his 1st W on the RD. Carolina racked up over 400 YDS of TTL O as Delhomme passed for just under 300 YDS and threw for 2 TD. The Carolina D also played well holding Michael Turner, who came in as the league's leading rusher to only 56 YDS on 18 carries as the Panthers got their 100th W in franchise history and The Dolphin got the W keeping him @ a perfect 3-0 with his top NFL plays on the SSN. The Dolphin also had 3* plays on the day out on Tennessee @ home who got the easy cover as they now start 4-0 (also 4-0 ATS) for the 1st time in the teams history, and Denver on the RD @ Kansas City as they turned the ball over 4 times, were held to under 100 YDS rushing on the day, and got upset at Arrowhead in their 1st L on the SSN. The Duke was on the other side of the ball in Kansas City as he had the Chiefs as a 3* as they came in as HD but got the SU W as Larry Johnson finished with 198 RY & 2 TD on the day in his 29th career 100 YD rushing game (5th against Denver). Shanahan is now 3-11 SU in regular SSN GMS @ Arrowhead as Broncos head coach. The Duke also won his other 2 regular plays on the day with Cleveland on the RD @ Cincinnati as Cincy once again set the world a blaze with an outstanding 211 YDS of TTL offense and 5 TO! Big Swiss` prediction: The 1st week Cincy wont lose SU will be October 26th. The Duke also had Carolina (3*) for a W, and the Jaguars as his 4* top play on the day against Houston who is now 7-2 of L8 ATS against the Jags as both teams combined for over 760 YDS of TTL O. Josh Scobee kicked a 37 YD FG in OT to give the Jags the SU W but not the cover, landing The Duke @ 3-1 on the week. Big Swiss had 2 plays on the week as he had the Eagles Sunday night as his top 4 star play of the week in Chicago as the Eagles were trying to build on their 4 GM win streak at Soldier Field. Chicago turned the ball over 4 times, but the Chicago D came up big in the end as Philly had a 1st & G from the 4 late in the 4Q but failed to convert as Big Swiss and Philly got the L. The Big Swiss also came in with a rare Monday night GM as he had Pittsburgh @ home as HF against a Baltimore team that seen Joe Flacco in his 1st RD GM of his NFL career. Pittsburgh is one tough place to play, especially on MN as the Steelers came into the GM having won their L13 SU home Monday Night Football games. Flacco was no Montana (but then who is), but he protected the ball and controlled the GM well considering the situation as he took them into the locker room up by 10. Pittsburgh scored 14 PTS in less than a min in the 3Q as they came back to tie the game and send it into OT where Jeff Reed kicked a 46 YD FG to give the Steelers the SU W but Big Swiss the ATS L landing him at 0-2 on the week in the NFL.

2008 WEEK 3 NFL

Dolphin Sports went 1-2 week 3 in the NFL hitting his Top Play with San Fran as it was payback time for Mike Martz who was canned last year from Detroit as the OC. Last year Martz was the scapegoat, this year it`s Millen (Lions were 31-84 (.270) during Millen's time with team as president and GM). San Fran had the running game going with Gore as he ran for 130 YDS & 1 TD on the day. Detroit is now 0-3 SU & ATS going into their bye this week. San Fran goes to New Orleans this WK (2-9 of L11 ATS VS New Orleans). The Dolphin also had the over in the San Fran game & The Bears for 3* plays on the day for L. The Bears appeared to have it locked up, but gave up 10 PTS in the final 4 min to send the game to OT where they lost on a 21 YD Matt Bryant FG. Griese had 67 pass attempts in the game (5th most ever), and got help from his D who got 4 TO on the day. Big Swiss (1-1 on the week) also had the 49ers (TOP) for a W, and a Reg Play out on Carolina who got Steve Smith back for the 1st time TS after a 2 GM suspension for punching a teammate. Carolina was tied with Minnesota @ 10 at the H but failed to add any more PTS in the 2H and got beat 10-20. Minnesota held Carolina to only 47 YDS rushing on the day and put together an 11 min, 34 sec drive that landed them on the 20-10 mark that the game ended on. If the Vikings improve in the red zone, they could make games interesting as the year goes on, as they`ve scored only 1 TD in 8 possessions in the red zone this season. Like Dolphin Sports and Big Swiss, The Duke also had the Bears for a 3* L and the Panthers for a 3* L. The Duke came in with his Top Play of the week with Denver as they played host to New Orleans. This was only the teams 3rd meeting in 10 YRS (Denver 2-0 SU & ATS), and Mile High is a lot different than the Louisiana Superdome. Denver held NO to 88 YDS rushing on the day (R. Bush has not rushed for 100 YDS a GM yet TY) as Brees passed for 421 & 1 TD on the day. It was a Brees (980 YDS) / Cutler (914 YDS)showdown as they are the top 2 passing leaders in the league. The game went to the wire as Martin Gramatica missed a 43 YD FG with 1:55 left in the game that allowed the Broncos to hang onto the lead for the SU W but wasn`t enough to give them, or The Duke, the cover.

2008 WEEK 2 NFL

The Duke had his Top Play on the week with Jacksonville in their home opener as a FAV against Buffalo. The Jags came into this one less than 100% as they were playing without 3 starting O linemen & receivers Jerry Porter & Troy Williamson. David Garrard was 17-28 for 170 YDS, threw 1 INT & got sacked twice on the day. The Jags lead late in the 4Q but Buffalo made big plays when they counted & scored twice in the last 5 min taking the lead and giving them the outright win on the day leaving Jacksonville @ 0-2 on the season, their worst start since 2003 and giving The Duke an L. The Panthers made a FG late in the 4Q in a close one in Carolina in a game that had 3 TO as they held off the Bears for the SU W, but The Duke got the Push. Kurt Warner continues his efforts to make us say, "Matt who?" as he torched the Dolphins going 19-24 for 361 YDS and 3 TD on the day giving Arizona a 2-0 SU & ATS start and landing The Duke @ 1-1-1 on the week. Just in..Miami is still bad and has another long year ahead of them. If Warner stays healthy AZ could be the best in their DIV. Big Swiss also had Arizona for a 3 star W along with a regular play on Atlanta as an AD against a tough Tampa D. Matt Ryan threw Incompletion`s on his first 9 attempts in his 2nd NFL game before finding a rhythm. Ryan and the Falcons managed to get it within 8 with about 5 min to go in the game when Earnest Graham broke free for a 68 YD TD Run, that put the game out of reach and handed Big Swiss a 3 star loss. Dolphin Sports put out his 1st Top NFL play this year and won with Tampa Bay. With TB losing to New Orleans the week before they didn`t want to go 0-2 in conference play. The Tampa D only gave up 3 FG & Matt Ryan found out how hard it is to win in the NFL on the road in his 1st RG. The Dolphin also had New Orleans (3*) who was up 9 PTS going into the 4Q & just fell apart, giving up a 67 YD TD from Campbell to Santana Moss with just over 3 min left in the game.

2008 WEEK 1 NFL

All 3 of Football Services handicappers had 2 plays for the 1st week in the NFL. The Duke and Big Swiss both had their Top play of the week out on an Indianapolis game that included a few first`s, Manning seen playing time for the 1st time since he had surgery on his left knee in July and It was also the 1st game in Indianapolis` new Lucas Oil Stadium. Manning wasn`t himself behind 3 new starters on the OL and lost TE Dallas Clark with a knee injury in the 1H and Joseph Addai with a head injury in the 4Q. It was the basic Bears game plan behind Kyle Orton at QB, run the ball, control the clock, and get turnovers. They did just that as they rushed for over 180 YDS, controlled the ball for 3 minutes longer than the Colts, and returned a Marvin Harrison fumble for a TD on their way to the upset that handed both The Duke and Big Swiss losses on their Top play of the day. The Duke also had Arizona as a 3 star for a W on the day as Kurt Warner once again showed he can still play as he led the Cardinals down the field time and again as he protected the ball and got just enough through the air (197 YDS )to get them in striking distance for 3 FG on the day. San Fran had problems contolling the ball with 4 fumbles and an INT on the day. NOTE TO SAN FRAN: If you want to win, hang onto the ball. Big Swiss had his 3 star on the day also given as the Free Pick on the day with the Saints. The game was a lot closer than Big Swiss liked, but he still got the W, as did Drew Brees as he passed for 343 YDS & 3 TD`s on the day against a stingy Tamp Bay D that gave up the fewest PTS in the NFC LY. Dolphin Sports had a rough week 1 in the NFL as he had two 3 star plays both as losses. He had the Cardinals over that failed to cover in a game with 5 FG. The Dolphins 2nd L on the day came with a Cincinnati team that was favored and got beat outright. Some people may say it is amazing how a team with so much offensive talent continues to struggle to put points on the board. The Big Swiss wonders..."At what point and time do you just say, maybe theirs really not that much offensive talent there after all". The Bengals offensive stats on the day: 8 first downs, 154 total yards (84 passing, 70 rushing), and 2 turnovers.
